The South Habbin will be open for Saturday’s home match against Burton Albion, following feedback received from supporters…
U’s fans in the Habbin will be able to move across to the South side of the stand, if they wish, in-order to lower the concentration of supporters in the stand.
CEO Ian Mather said, “We have listened to feedback from supporters following the first game of the season and opening up the South Habbin when possible is one of the suggestions we are putting into practice.
“At games where we have spare capacity we are going to open the South Habbin for fans from the North Habbin to move into if they wish to give everyone more space. This will be done for the game against Burton Albion but we won’t be able to do this for every game, as on some occasions we will be able to sell out the stand to away teams and so generate significant revenue for the club.
“More often than not though this space will be open for our own fans.”
Supporters do not need to purchase a ticket for the South Habbin to watch Saturday’s game from the area, simply purchase tickets in the North Habbin and migrate over. This also applies to Season Ticket Holders in the North Habbin.
Fans in other areas of the ground that wish to transfer to the South Habbin, may do so by contacting the Club in advance of the fixture by calling 01223 566500.
Tickets for the U’s home match with Burton Albion can be bought online, over the phone by calling 01223 566500 (option 1) or by visiting the Abbey Stadium Ticket Office, open today (Thursday 19th August) and on Matchday.
