The Week Ahead: Newport Away, Science Assemblies & Retail Sale Continues

It's another big week for the U's as Mark Bonner's side head into the final five fixtures of the season, with a promotion place very much up for grabs...

This Saturday's First Team fixture has been moved forward to a 12:30pm kick-off, in-order to avoid a clash with the funeral of HRH The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. Cambridge will be looking to make a swift bounce back following Saturday's defeat at the hands of Exeter, and U's supporters can show their support for the team by purchasing an iFollow Match Pass, available for just £10.

A shortened version of the Trust's award-winning AstraZeneca Active Science Virtual Assemblies programme are taking place in local primary schools all week, combining science and sport in engaging ways in order to inspire the next generation of scientists.

This Wednesday is also the EFL Day of Action, as Club's across the country work together to showcase their impact in the community, and Cambridge United Community Trust will be highlighting their Seniors Programme, including a heartwarming story about how the Trust helped one of their service users throughout the pandemic.

Last Friday, cufcdirect.com released a limited edition 1991/93 retro shirt and the response from U's fans was absolutely phenomenal, with the shirt selling out within 24 hours. Now, with the 2020/21 team poised for what could be a historic season, don't miss out on this season's kit in the 50% off replica kit and training wear sale to get your hands on what could be a future classic.

In other fixture news, following a 2-2 draw at home to Stevenage at the weekend, Cambridge's U18s travel to MK Dons this Saturday for an 11am kick-off in the EFL Youth Alliance Southern Merit League 2.

It was a good weekend for Cambridge United Women, due to a 2-1 victory over Northampton Town, and although there is no First Team game scheduled for this weekend, the Development Squad face Norwich City on Sunday 18th April.

Once again, don't forget to show your support for the U's and their push for promotion by securing your Match Pass for this Saturday's game at Newport. Mark Bonner and a member of the Cambridge squad will be speaking to the media on Thursday, so watch out for the camp's pre-match thoughts later in the week.
