Following Saturday's win at Newport County, Cambridge United have a crucial week coming up with regards to the First Team's promotion aspirations...
Mark Bonner's men are back on the pitch this Tuesday for a 7pm kick-off against Leyton Orient. Match Passes can be bought now, with the opportunity for the U's to consolidate their position at the top of the Sky Bet League Two table. The Pre-Match thoughts of Mark Bonner and Jack Iredale will be avaiable for supporters to view later today.
The U18s aren't back in action now until Saturday 8th May, but have gone into their break off the back of a superb victory this past weekend, having beaten MK Dons 7-1 away from home.
This Saturday's home game against Stevenage is the Community Trust's Matchday Takeover, sponsored by AstraZeneca, and we will be building up to the big day by showcasing the work of AstraZeneca's Activate Holiday Lunch programme & AstraZeneca Active Science. Over the Easter Holidays, the Holiday Lunch programme ensured that 180 young people from Cambridge’s disadvantaged communities were empowered to get active and over 375 free healthy meals were provided. Alongside this, last week’s Active Science assemblies ensured 1,000 pupils across 15 schools were inspired to learn more about science through sport.
This week also sees the Trust’s award-winning Mind Your Head mental health awareness programme back being delivered in 3 secondary schools across Cambridgeshire. The six-week programme provides lessons that aim to help destigmatize mental health, educate young people about how to deal with stress and also encourage young people to discuss how social media can both positively and negatively affect their well-being.
Don't forget to show your support for the U's this week and their push for promotion by securing your Match Passes for both Tuesday's game at Leyton Orient and Saturday's home clash against local rivals Stevenage.
