BONNER BACKS AMBER ARMY TO REACH 1,000 MARK FOR IFOLLOW THIS SATURDAY

Mark Bonner has no doubts Cambridge United fans will reach the 1,000 target set by CEO Ian Mather in iFollow match passes, for Saturday’s Sky Bet League Two trip to Scunthorpe United.

The U’s Head Coach has given huge praise to the Amber Army for their continued support despite their long absence away from the Abbey, and is confident they can surpass the milestone set by Mather earlier this week.

Bonner commented: “The Club’s doing all it can to keep bringing in revenue during these challenging times whilst fans have been unable to attend fixtures.

“And the supporters have responded incredibly throughout the last six months. We’ve seen as recently as last weekend just how amazing our fans can be with their support. A special edition shirt goes on sale an hour and a half before kick off, and virtually sells out before the game even starts. That’s immense and makes a real difference!

“Likewise the support on iFollow has been tremendous too, and the Club sit in the top seven for match passes sold so far, which is certainly punching well above our weight in comparison to the size of fanbases in this division. And we really need it to continue.

“And this weekend we’re challenging them to get to 1,000 for ifollow, and I’m confident they can do it because they’ve been absolutely brilliant. It’s so important our fans stay engaged with the Club, during this time.”
