Cambridge United can today confirm that youngster Tom Knowles has been recalled from his loan with Chelmsford City with immediate effect.
Knowles, 21, returns to the first team fold at the Abbey after a successful spell with the Clarets, featuring 24 times and scoring five times. He will be available for selection to Interim Head Coach Mark Bonner for the remainder of the campaign.
Meanwhile, it was confirmed last night that Idris El Mizouni has returned to his parent club Ipswich Town, after sustaining medial ligament damage in Saturday’s Sky Bet League Two fixture against Carlisle United. The injury has ruled out the 19-year old Tunisian for the rest of the 2019/20 season.
