CLUB STATEMENT | FIRST TEAM PLAYERS AND STAFF IN SELF-ISOLATION FOR THE NEXT WEEK

Cambridge United can today confirm the Football Club has taken the decision to self-isolate the entire first team playing and coaching staff for the next week.

Whilst no member of the first team has shown symptoms of COVID-19, the Club have been made aware of a first team player who had previously been exposed to someone who last week tested positive for the virus.

With the first team player having since been present at the Club's training facility at Clare College Sports Ground, the Club have decided to self-isolate all members of the playing and coaching staff. The training ground will also be closed for the next seven days.

To clarify, this is a precautionary measure as, at this stage, none have tested positive for Coronavirus.

The Club continues to work on managing the situation and determining the best course of action during this difficult period.

Cambridge United will provide further updates to supporters, including guidance relating to ticketing when possible, across the Club's website and social media channels in due course.
