Community Trust Launch Campaign To Get Kids Fit & Fed Over This Summer

Cambridge United Community Trust are excited to announce that they will be running free, socially-distanced, multi-sports sessions throughout the Summer holidays inclusive of FREE lunches! Sessions will take place in the Abbey Ward, Trumpington & North Cambridge. Working with the Premier League Charitable Fund & Cambridge City Council: the safety of participants, parents and staff is a primary aim.

The Activate programme is designed to promote physical exercise and healthy eating in young people. Cambridge United Community Trust, through lockdown, cooked & delivered over 1,700 meals to families in need. Cambridge United Community Trust are proud to be part of the Cambridge Food Poverty Alliance looking to tackle food poverty together.

The sessions are available for participants of all abilities for those in (current) years 1-9. They have been split into 3 age groups as shown by the poster.

10.45am - 11.30am: Year 1-3
11.45am - 12.30pm: Year 4-6
12.45pm - 1.30pm: Year 7-9

The sessions will commence on Monday 27th July, however numbers will be very limited for the first weeks to ensure participants’ safety. 

Along with free sessions and lunches, participants will also receive a loyalty card and participants attending three or more sessions will be able to gain their ticket to a Cambridge United FC League Two fixture of their choosing.
