Cambridge United FC are looking to recruit a suitable individual in the position of Lead Academy Sports Scientist.
Our category three Academy is an integral part of our club, and our vision is driven by our youth development structure and community values. This position is for a driven professional with Academy Sports Science experience both in qualification and day to day experience.
We are looking for someone to come in to a fully functioning multi-disciplinary staff and take the role onto another level. To do this we want to appoint someone with not only the right background and experience but most importantly the right character.
Whilst Cambridge United is in League Two and a Category 3 Academy it has never limited the staff or players for aspiring to over-achieve in spite of the gap in budget, facilities or staffing to clubs further up the pyramid. We are proud of our club, of the young players that are currently in and around our First Team squad and want to push to get more young potential to this level of performance.
The successful candidate will oversee the 9-18 age range, predominantly working with the 15-18 age group incorporating the Day Release Schoolboy programme and Full Time Scholarship players. The role is demanding, requires boundless enthusiasm and a real keen eye for detail. The successful applicant may be a practitioner with limited experience or newly qualified into the profession.
Cambridge United Football Club is an equal opportunities employer and is committed to equal opportunity within our own organisation and welcomes applications from everyone.
Cambridge United Football Club are fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
