MATCH DAY AT THE ABBEY: WHAT’S ON GUIDE?

The U’s return to home soil today against Swindon Town, with a whole host of match day activities taking place across the Abbey Stadium on match day!

Tickets are still available online here, in-store or by calling 01223 566 500. Tickets will be available online until 1:30pm on match day and right up to kick off at 3:00pm in-store.

Legends Present

We are delighted to be joined no less than three Club legends, with all three available across different areas of the ground. Malcolm Webster, Steve Fallon and Liam Hughes will return to the Abbey. Fallon will be entertaining guests in Club Cambridge and will also be making his way out on to the field at half time, alongside U’s Wembley hero Liam Hughes.

Meanwhile, Webster will be alongside another U’s legend Ian Darler in the Abbey Arms (located at the rear of the Main Stand) for a special Q & A event post-match for supporters who wish to quiz the former U’s keeper and the U’s Head Groundsman.

Ian Darler will also signing copies of his book “Life’s A Pitch” at the event and in the Club shop before the game at 2pm. More details available by clicking here.

FanZone

The FanZone will be open for Saturday’s fixture between 1pm-2:45pm providing supporters the ideal area to soak up the pre-match Abbey atmosphere. Located at the rear of the South Habbin, the FanZone will include music from local band Dear Monday, as well as providing a range of hot and cold food items, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink, entertainment, Marvin the Moose and the perfect place to build up to the game. Free to enter, the FanZone is open to home and away supporters.

Food and Drink

The Club’s tea bars located around the ground will be open in every area serving a range of hot food items such as hot dogs, burgers and pies, plus chocolate bars, crisps and other snacks are also available as well as soft drinks. There are also mobile catering units located in the South Stand, Main Stand, rear of the North Habbin and NRE, offering alternative hot food.

The cash bar in the Abbey Arms is open from 2pm and has a brand new range of Cask Ales for supporters to try out.

Programme

The Amber Rambler as always is available from sellers around the ground, in the Club Shop or from the CFU van at the front of the ground, for just £3.
