Cambridge United are pleased to inform U’s fans about the chance to get your copy of “Life’s a Pitch: The Groundsman’s Tale” by Ian Darler, signed by the man himself at this weekend’s fixture against Swindon Town!
The book is Ian’s re-telling of his 40 years devotion and experience at Cambridge United Football Club and those he has worked closest alongside and crossed swords with at the Abbey Stadium. It is without question a MUST READ for all U’s fans.
Ian will be present in the Club Shop ahead of Saturday’s match at 2pm for an official book signing session, so be sure to head along and grab your copy which can be purchased in the Club Shop or online here now.
If you are unable to make the event pre-match, don’t worry as Ian will also be present in the Abbey Arms (located at the rear of the Main Stand) for an hour post-match. As well as being available for another book signing, he will also be joined by none other than former U’s Goalkeeper and close friend Malcolm Webster, as the pair conduct a Q & A with supporters on their respective time at the Abbey in association with 100 Years of Coconuts.
Both events are totally free of charge for supporter to attend and the Club is encouraging as many fans to get along as possible.
