GALLERY | HYDROSTATIC WEIGHING FOR BODY FAT AT ANGLIA RUSKIN

Cambridge United's first team players have paid a visit to the excellent facilities at Anglia Ruskin University this morning as the early pre-season screenings continue to provide the coaching staff with full information on individual fitness levels.

The players have gone through the hydrostatic weighing provides which provides body fat readings to help each player and the U's Head of Performance Matt Walker learn about their bodies. The process involves being harnassed in a pool, before exhaling all the air in the lungs and then submerging - a weight measurement is then taken of the player and marked against their weight and height outside of the pool to provide an accurate reading of their body fat.

A full interview with Matt Walker about the process and pre-season for the U's in general will be available on iFollow shortly.

Our thanks to Vivienne (Research Assistant) and all at Anglia Ruskin for their hospitality and use of the fantastic facilities.
