Cambridge United's first team players get back to business at the Inc. Training Ground having today reported back for the opening day of pre-season ahead of the 2019/20 Sky Bet League Two campaign.
The likes of new signings Kyle Knoyle, Luke Hannant and Harvey Knibbs all joined up with the rest of the U' squad for the first time this morning, as Head Coach Colin Calderwood and staff delivered their key messages for the pre-season preparations.
The players were also put through their paces by Head of Performance Matt Walker with the usual pre-season testing including the dreaded yo-yo test to measure each player's base level of fitness following their off season programmes.
As planned Wes Hoolahan also joined the U's with the former Republic of Ireland international particpates in the opening weeks of training whilst he considers a formal offer from the Club, as was reported last week.
The U's players and staff adorned hummel's Chevrons for the very first time, wearing the brand new 2019/20 training wear which once carries club sponsor Inc. across the front. Head to cufcdirect.com to check out the full range which is available to purchase today.
An interview with Head Coach Colin Calderwood will follow shortly on iFollow.
