Last year’s Sleepout, which took place during the infamous Beast from the East weather front, raised an incredible £20,000 for two fantastic charities:

Jimmy’s Cambridge delivers 24/7 emergency accommodation and supported housing for those who would otherwise be homeless or vulnerably housed. The charity’s vision is to provide homeless accommodation pathways from the street floor to a sustainable front door.

Street Child United organises sporting and campaigning events for street-connected young people from across the world, including the Street Child Cricket World Cup Cambridge and London 2019.

For the second year of this event a third charity, CEO Sleepout, will also benefit from the fundraising. CEO Sleepout organise sleepouts across the country to support a variety of different homeless charities including their very own homeless café.

After signing up, you’ll be sent an email with a link to a Just Giving page, where we ask people to attempt to raise a minimum of £100. With your help, the United for Cambridge Sleepout will be a phenomenal success and show that the city can lead the way when it comes to taking a stand against inequality, poverty and homelessness. It's going to be a fantastic night raising money for Jimmy’s, Street Child United and CEO Sleepout.

John Wroe, Co-Founder and CEO of Street Child United, said: “Last year’s United for Cambridge sleepout enabled us to deliver an incredible Street Child World Cup Moscow 2018. We’re extremely grateful and excited that the people of Cambridge are coming together again to help us make the Street Child Cricket World Cup, which will take place on Parker’s Piece, a massive success. Together, we can change the way street-connected young people are seen and treated everywhere.”

Barry Griffiths, Communications Officer at Jimmy’s Cambridge, said: "Jimmy's Cambridge is proud to be associated with the United For Cambridge Sleepout organised by Cambridge United Community Trust once again, alongside our friends Street Child United. We’re inviting all supporters of Jimmy’s to come along, spend a night under the stars at the Abbey Stadium and unite together in the fight against homelessness.”

We hope you can join us in this important fight.
