CAMBRIDGE UNITED CONFIRM DATE FOR FANS FORUM

Cambridge United have today confirmed the Club will hold a mid-season Fans Forum on Thursday 7th February (7pm – 8:30pm) at the Abbey Stadium.

As part of our wider communications update to supporters in November, the Club committed to reinstituting regular Fans Forums to provide U’s fans with an additional platform to hear from the Club and discuss issues with staff and Board.

We are very pleased that Head Coach Colin Calderwood will be on the panel as this will be the first time he will have had the chance to meet fans directly in this way. He will be there with both Ben Strang and Mark Bonner together with other staff and Board Members from the Club. We will give a further update closer to the time. The event will obviously be free to attend.

Cambridge United Director Godric Smith commented: “The Board are keen to continue improving communications with our fans and therefore as promised are pleased to announce the date for the upcoming Fans Forum.

“We hope for as many supporters to attend as possible and share their opinions. It is your Club and your views will always matter.

“I also attended the working group meeting on the fans’ parliament on Thursday. It is really encouraging to see the progress being made and next steps will also be discussed by the Board at our next meeting.”

Commenting on the progressing work, Nigel Pearce who is leading the fans’ parliament working group added: “We will forward our initial proposal as to how the fans' parliament should operate to the Club next week [ie w/c 21/1], ahead of sharing the detail with all the fans that have expressed an interest in standing for the parliament in February.”
