ADE AZEEZ LEAVES U'S TO JOIN NEWPORT COUNTY FOR AN UNDISCLOSED FEE

Cambridge United can today confirm that Ade Azeez has left the football club to complete a move to Newport County, subject to FA, EFL and international clearance.

The 25-year old joined the U's on a free transfer in July 2017 and has since amassed 46 appearances for the Club, scoring eight goals in that time.

Last Saturday's fixture against Exeter City saw Azeez feature in his final game for Cambridge United, with the U's accepting an agreement with Newport County for an undisclosed fee that allows the striker to make a permanent move to Rodney Parade.

Head of Football, Ben Strang commented: "Ade has been a terrific professional and shown an excellent level of commitment in his time with us. He is keen to play more regularly and this move provides him with the opportunity to do so. Ade has always been a popular member of the squad and leaves with our very best wishes."

Cambridge United would like to thank Ade for his hard work during his time at the Club and wishes him well for the future.
