Cambridge United have today announced the Football Club’s retain/release list following the conclusion of the 2017/18 Sky Bet League Two season.
David Forde has triggered an extension in his contract that means the goalkeeper will remain at the Abbey Stadium for the 2018/19 season.
As announced on Friday, Leon Legge will be leaving the U’s following three years with the Football Club. We would like to once again thank him for his efforts and wish the defender all the best for the future.
Medy Elito and Piero Mingoia will not be offered new deals after the expiry of their current contracts. Cambridge United would like to thank both players for their respective efforts during their two year spells at the Abbey Stadium and wish them the very best of luck for the future.
Discussions with striker Barry Corr continue to take place, and the Club will inform supporters of any further developments in due course.
Cambridge United would also like to thank both George Taft and Billy Waters for their hard work and commitment during their respective loans, as they return to their parent clubs.
All remaining professional players are under contract with the Football Club for next season.
