Cambridge United are delighted to announce that the Football Club will be hosting an Open Day for supporters at the Abbey Stadium on Sunday 29th July.
On the final weekend ahead of the 2018/19 Sky Bet League Two season, the U's will be opening the doors at the Abbey Stadium for the Amber Army to enjoy an access all areas day, which will include the first chance of the season to rub shoulders with United's first team squad.
The day kicks off at 11am as the U's will exclusively reveal the new third kit to those in attendance, before being put through their paces on the pitch by Head Coach Joe Dunne in an open training session.
The event will of course include a number of opportunities to collect autographs and have your photograph taken with every member of United's first team squad throughout the day, with a specific signing session taking place in the Dion Dublin Bar.
The Open Day provides a great opportunity for fans of all ages to come and get closer to the action at The Abbey, getting the chance to meet the squad and get merchandise signed, through to asking Joe Dunne the questions that they want to hear answered. With the further entertainment that will be provided, and of course the Beer Festival that will be held on the day too, we would love to welcome as many supporters’ as possible to The Abbey for our 2018/19 open day.
Meanwhile, U's fan will be given the chance to pitch all of their questions to Joe Dunne ahead of the new season in a fans forum at 2pm in the Premier Travel Hospitality Suite.
As always there will be plenty of entertainment for younger supporters of the Club, including Marvin the Moose, face painters, inflatables and more. Further information about an exciting and exclusive first team player engagement event on the day for Junior U's signed up for 2018/19, will follow in due course.
And the day will conclude with a beer festival to (hopefully!) soak up the summer sun at the Abbey, accompanied with some live music!
