Thank you to every supporter who braved the wind and rain to attend yesterday's Open Day at the Abbey Stadium and for making it such an enjoyable event.
The Club were proud to welcome such a range of supporters, young and old, into the ground throughout the day to engage with all of the acitivities.
The event included:
- An open training session, which begun with junior supporters invited to warm up alongside their first team heroes on the pitch
- An exlcusive meet and greet with the whole squad and "Welcome to the team" talk from Head Coach Joe Dunne within the home dressing room for Junior U's season ticket holders
- A full squad signing and photograph session at the club shop
- A tour of the fascinating 100 Years of Coconuts museum within the Supporter's club, in which the first team players and staff received a lesson in our club's history alongside supporters
- Q & A with the management staff from Cambridge United's Women FC, Kevin Hoover and Sean Greygoose
- A well-attended fans forum with Head Coach Joe Dunne and Assistant Head Coach Mark Bonner, in which supporters asked the U's coaching duo to covering pre-season progress, ambitions for the season, player contracts, summer transfer activity and of course bobble hats!
Thanks again to all for helping to make the day a great success - United in Endeavour!
