ETHOS COMMUNITY HERO OF THE DAY | WENDY TWINN

Tonight’s Ethos Community Hero of the Day is Wendy Twinn.

In partnership with Cambridge United's Official Match Ball and Website sponsors Ethos, each match day this season will see an individual rewarded for their contribution to sport in the community as the Hero of the Day.

As well as featuring in the match day programme and on the Club's online channels, the Ethos Community Hero of the Day will also be given the opportunity to discuss their contribution across the tannoy and present the official match ball to the referee ahead of kick off.

The Ethos Community Hero of the Day for this evening's match is Wendy Twinn.

Wendy is well known and a very popular figure to all at the Abbey Stadium, working closely with FED Dave Matthew-Jones and CFU to regularly renovate the ground as well as being a lifelong fan of the Football Club.

On a Saturday, Wendy can be found travelling the country supporting the U's home and away, whilst in the week she is always a friendly face around to help with post-match clean up, painting and other odd jobs that ensure the stadium is in ship-shape for a match day.

This season her volunteering has also seen her chip in with washing the first team kits, by lending Club kit manager Gordon Millar a hand where possible.

The Club are delighted to present Wendy with this evening's award and hope the Abbey Stadium will join us in a warm applause for her fantastic contribution on a daily basis to Cambridge United.
