ETHOS COMMUNITY HERO OF THE DAY | JOHN MILLS

Tonight’s Ethos Community Hero of the Day is long serving U’s supporter John Mills – Find out why he has been chosen to receive this evening’s award below!

In partnership with Cambridge United's Official Match Ball and Website sponsors Ethos, each match day this season will see an individual rewarded for their contribution to sport in the community as the Hero of the Day.

As well as featuring in the match day programme and on the Club's online channels, the Ethos Community Hero of the Day will also present the official match ball to the referee ahead of kick off.

John has been a season ticket holder with Cambridge United since the age of 14, and at our last home match against Mansfied Town celebrated his 80th birthday!

He has only missed two seasons at the Abbey Stadium due to National Service, so can be considered as one of United's longest serving supporters.

For 30 plus years, John has been involved with his local Scout group in various different positions and for the last 25 years, he has been a Beaver Leader.

We are delighted he joins us this evening, and ask all supporters to give him a very warm welcome when he takes to the field pre-match to present the official match ball to our match referee.
