Selected fan groups will be able to benefit from discounted away travel for five of our longest away trips during the coming season. ‘Away Days INC’ is an initiative that forms part of Inc’s sponsorship of the Club for the 18/19 season and will offer a £10 discount for certain groups of fans.
Pensioners, young people under 16 and those who are currently unemployed will be able to receive a £10 Away Coach travel discount for each game under the initiative.
The INC away day matches are:
Newport (Saturday 29th September)
Tranmere (Saturday 8th December)
Morecambe (Saturday 22nd December)
Carlisle (Saturday 23rd March)
Macclesfield (Saturday 4th May)
Keep your eyes peeled for announcements at the beginning of September for further details of the scheme and how to apply for discounted away travel for Newport.
Godric Smith, Co-Founder of INC and CUFC Board Member said: “The Club is fortunate to have such a passionate and loyal fan base. The support is massively valued by the team and makes a real difference. We all recognise the cost and commitment of fans travelling the length and breadth of the country during the season. They are in many ways the heartbeat of the Club. ‘Inc Away Days’ will play a small part in keeping the cost down for those fan groups who likely need the financial support the most.”
Henry Comfort, Cambridge United Chief Operating Officer: “Our Away Travel service is run purely at cost to the Club for all fans. This initiative will however hopefully make travel even more affordable for some fans. We recognise the significant time and financial commitment it takes following the team. It is really appreciated by everyone at the Club. We are always looking to do what we can to keep costs down and Inc Away Days will, for example, mean a trip to Carlisle in March will cost the same amount as a trip to Colchester for certain fan groups.”
