Cambridge United are pleased to announce the first Academy game at the Cambs Glass Stadium of the season will take place against Tottenham Hotspur U15s/16s on Tuesday 24th October (K.O. 7:00pm).
Following on from the successful fixtures of the past two seasons against the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea, the cream of United’s academy will face Tottenham for a third consecutive year on the turf of the first team pitch.
The Amber Army have provided tremendous support in recent years, with the club urging the U’s faithful to once again give their backing to this year’s crop of U15s/16s.
These matches not only provide the Club’s academy players with the opportunity to experience the atmosphere that comes with playing at the stadium, but also for supporters to watch the exciting talent within the club’s Academy system against high quality opposition.
Cambridge United Academy Manager Mark Bonner commented: “Once again we are delighted to be hosting another of these games at the Cambs Glass Stadium.
“The previous fixtures have attracted fantastic support, creating an excellent atmosphere and environment for our players to experience and we are hoping for much of the same this year.
“We have a good relationship with Tottenham Hotspur who have been a great opponent in the previous encounters. We thank Dean Rastrick (Academy Manager, Tottenham Hotspurs) for their commitment to the game once more and look forward to another exciting evening under the floodlights.”
Tickets for the match are priced at £5 for adults and free for Under 18s. These can be purchased online by clicking here, in-store or by calling 01223 566 500.
