SHAUN DERRY SUPPORTS REGIONAL SUPPORTERS HUBS

NEXT UP | ST IVES | THIS FRIDAY

The Regional Supporter Hubs kicked off last Friday at Newmarket Town FC with a broad selection of people connected with Cambridge United FC in attendance and now manager Shaun Derry has shown his support by attending the next event lined up in St Ives this coming Friday 20th January.

Season ticket holders, parents of children attending our Youth Development programmes, members and followers of the CUFC Women’s team and representatives from local grassroots clubs joined CFU Chairman Dave Matthew-Jones and other club officials to discuss the current offering from Cambridge United in the Newmarket area on Friday.

The group discussed the possibility of a Cambridge United walking football session in Newmarket, supporter’s coaches running from the town, lift sharing to away games and a number of other exciting possibilities. These events really are a chance for the people of each hub to propose new ways for the club to better engage with the local community.

Following the first event in Newmarket, U’s fans, supporters, followers and others engaged with the Club will come together in St Ives (St Ivo Outdoor Centre) on Friday 20th January and Ely (Ely City Football Club) on Friday 27th January.

Manager Shaun Derry and CEO Jez George will be attending this event on Friday 20th January which takes place at 6pm at St Ivo Outdoor Centre.

Those connected with Cambridge United Football Club in St Ives are urged to turn out in force to hear from the Manager on a number of First Team matters and get involved in discussions about how the club can better engage with its supporters in St Ives.

Special guests are also being lined up for the Ely event on Friday 27th January which takes place at Ely City Football Club from 6-7pm. For any queries about either event or to register interest in the Regional Supporter Hubs coming to your area email supportershubs@cambridge-united.co.uk
