MATCH PREVIEW | MANSFIELD TOWN - HOME
Cambridge United entertain Mansfield Town at the Cambs Glass Stadium on Saturday afternoon, with the U’s in search of a seventh win from their last nine Sky Bet League Two fixtures.
Shaun Derry’s men are unbeaten in their previous eight League fixtures and have not lost a game at the Cambs Glass Stadium since the defeat to Wycombe Wanderers in late November.
United have been slightly hampered by injury in recent weeks, but Harrison Dunk and Brad Halliday both face late assessments as to whether they will be available for the clash with the Stags, whilst the additions of Jake Carroll, Paul Lewis and Scott Wharton in January have added depth to the U’s squad.
Mansfield will arrive at the Cambs Glass Stadium on a hot run of form of their own, having not lost in League Two since their defeat at the hands of Morecambe on Boxing Day.
Revived under the stewardship of Steve Evans, the Stags are also seeking a top seven finish this season and a win on Saturday would move them within two points of the U’s.
The side’s played out a scoreless draw at the One Call Stadium back in September in the reverse fixture. In fact today’s teams have drawn on their last three meetings. Mansfield narrowly lead the head-to-head records by 14 wins to the U’s 13.
