MATCH PREVIEW | LUTON TOWN – AWAY
Cambridge United travel to Kenilworth Road on Saturday afternoon for another high octane tussle with Luton Town in Sky Bet League Two (Kick Off 3:00pm).
The U’s will be looking for a quick response to last weekend’s disappointing defeat at the hands of Mansfield Town, which saw United’s eight game unbeaten run in League Two reach an end.
The U’s still hold an impressive unbeaten run away from home in the League stretching back to September’s loss against high flying Plymouth Argyle, which they will be keen to sustain as well as keeping up their strong play-off push.
United Boss Shaun Derry will be pleased to have seen Harrison Dunk return to the training field this week, with the winger potentially set for a return against the Hatters. However, Brad Halliday’s fitness is to be assessed ahead of the fixture having not yet returned to full training.
Meanwhile, Luton Town approach Saturday’s match placed sixth in the League Two ladder and are unbeaten in their last three matches, following wins over Chesterfield and Crewe, as well as an commendable 1-1 draw with an in-form Wycombe Wanderers.
The Hatters will however be without their two top goal scorers Danny Hylton (14) and Cameron McGeehan (11), with the former suspended and the latter missing following the broken leg sustained in the clash with Portsmouth earlier this month.
Luton have won just two of their last seven at Kenilworth Road, and a win for Shaun Derry’s side would move them on to 42 points, the same tally as Nathan Jones’ outfit.
The local rivalry has produced a number of memorable clashes in recent years, although United will be looking to rectify a run that has seen them without a win against the Hatters in their last eight League meetings.
Tickets are available online here until 3:30pm on Friday.
