GALLERY | EFL GIRLS CUP – CLUB FINALS

Last week saw girls from seven local schools vying it out in the EFL Kids Cup Club Finals at Trumpington Community College, with the winner earning the chance to represent the U’s in the Area Finals at Luton in January.

St Bedes fought off the fierce competition in an exciting and highly competitive tournament to win the place as the U’s representatives in the 2017/18 EFL Girls Cup. They will go on to face the teams representing Barnet FC, Colchester United, Ipswich Town, Norwich City, Southend United and Stevenage.

If the girls are successful in Luton they will go onto the regional and then even possibly the National Final, which will take place at Wembley Stadium!

Schools that competed in last week’s Club Finals were:

Sawston Village College
St Bedes (Winners)
Parkside Community School
Swavesey Village College (Runners Up)
Sir Harry Smith Community College
Comberton Village College
Cottenham Village College

A huge thank you to Trumpington Community College for the use of their facilities and all those who competed on the day.

Finally, the very best of luck to the girls from St Bedes in Luton next month!
