PROGRAMME PREVIEW | UCHE IKPEAZU

Pick up the first edition of the new look Cambridge United Match Day programme at tomorrow’s home opener and read the first team player feature with striker Uche Ikpeazu.

Available for just £3 around the ground, Ikpeazu has also signed 30 copies which will be randomly distributed across the Cambs Glass Stadium, so make sure you grab a copy to be in with a chance of winning!

Take a sneak peek at his programme feature here:

Having arrived at the U’s this time last year, Ikpeazu has wasted no time on making his sizeable mark at the Club and has become a popular figure within the Amber Army.

Looking ahead to his second full campaign with the U’s, the 22-year old is confident a season without injury will allow him to produce even bigger and better displays in amber and black.

Ikpeazu explained: “My aims are simple this year and that is to score as many goals as possible and help the team to achieve our goals wherever I can.

“It’s always important to stay injury free, but especially after a season like last year where I felt like I didn’t quite hit the peak I could have because of couple of injuries during the second half of the year.

“It’s consistency I am looking to improve on. I have had a full pre-season this year which has been great and is something that I didn’t have last year due to the circumstances with my arrival.

“I still feel like I am working towards my full match fitness, but that will come and when it does I feel that I can be very effective. The overall aim for all of us is to win games, however that may be, and I can contribute with more goals this season.”
