GREG TAYLOR PENS CONTRACT FOR NEXT SEASON
Cambridge United left-back Greg Taylor has extended his contract at the Cambs Glass Stadium until the end of the 2017/18 season.
His reliable performances at full-back as well as the versatility shown during his recent spell in central midfield, have made Taylor an important component to the U's squad.
Since joining the U's back in 2013, Taylor enjoyed FA Trophy and Conference play-off success at Wembley during his first season at the Club.
The 27-year old also featured in both Emirates FA Cup fixtures against Manchester United in the 2014/15 campaign and has been a regular feature for the U's since the return to the Football League.
Having now racked up over 130 appearances for the Club, Greg registered his first goal against Crawley Town earlier this season, before doubling his tally in emphatic fashion against Crewe Alexandra with a memorable goal in front of the Newmarket Road End.
Pleased to have prolonged Taylor's time with the U's, Cambridge United Manager Shaun Derry commented: "Reliable players are what managers are always searching for.
"In Greg we definitely have a player that is fully committed to this Football Club in every way.
"This contract extension represents our commitment to him which he very much deserves and I look forward to continuing our working relationship."
