MATCH PREVIEW: PORTSMOUTH – HOME

Cambridge United will be looking to make it six wins from eight competitive games when they play Portsmouth at the Cambs Glass Stadium tomorrow in Sky Bet League Two.

Shaun Derry’s side will hope to continue hauling themselves back up the division and are now just four points off the play-off places, following their 2-1 away over Exeter City last Saturday.

United will be without Luke Berry for the encounter who misses the game through suspension after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season, however the U’s were boosted by the return of Medy Elito and George Maris in training this week.

Meanwhile, Portsmouth will arrive in the city looking to bounce back from last weekend’s home defeat to Notts County, which saw Paul Cook’s side drop down to fifth position.

However, in Pompey the U’s face a team who they are yet to take a point from since their return to the Football League.

Equipped with the likes of Carl Baker, Gary Roberts and Conor Chaplin who share 16 goals between them so far this season, the 2008 FA Cup winners are certainly not short of fire power.

The south coast side hold a huge lead over the U’s in the overall head to head records, with 12 wins to United’s one, which came back in the old Division Three in March 1978.

However, Manager Shaun Derry feels that the U’s current squad is more than a match for any team in Sky Bet League Two.
