Following a rigorous selection process, the most influential ‘players’ in the waste management sector gathered in Grosvenor Square, London, yesterday for the eagerly awaited Chartered Institution of Waste Management (CIWM) ‘Sustainability and Resource Awards’, which is celebrating its 10-year anniversary.
Hosted by celebrity Alistair McGowan, the event welcomed 300 of the industries brightest stars from all over the UK, to celebrate and recognise innovation, achievement and best practice in the sustainable management of waste and resources. The long-standing and well-respected awards are judged by experts in the sector, with the winners setting the standards for others to replicate in the future.

The awards are split in to sixteen separate categories of varying size and disciplines, for which local business Mick George Ltd won top billing to scoop the ‘Catalyst Corporate Finance Waste and Resources Fast 50’ award, recognising the fastest revenue growing business within the UK’s waste industry.
