MATCH PREVIEW | DOVER ATHLETIC VS CAMBRIDGE UNITED | FA CUP REPLAY
Cambridge United travel to the Crabble Atheltic Stadium tonight to face Dover Athletic in a First Round replay of the Emirates FA Cup.
Ricky Miller’s late equaliser at the Cambs Glass Stadium two weeks ago cancelled out Piero Mingoia’s first half opener for the U’s to hold United to a draw and force a second tussle with the National League side.
The U’s head into the fixture brimming with confidence following their excellent display in the League last Saturday which saw them take the spoils with a 3-1 away win over Crawley Town.
This evening’s fixture is the first three over a five day period but go United into the flurry of games with only Joe Pigott and Adam McGurk ruled out, outside of the long term injuries to Elliot Omozusi and Barry Corr.
Meanwhile, the Whites also picked up three points on Saturday, with Ricky Miller once again at the heart of the victory as he registered a second half hat-trick to defeat Solihull Moors, racking up his 17th, 18th and 19th goals of the season in the process.
Chris Kinnear’s men showed their resilience at the Cambs Glass Stadium last time out, and Shaun Derry feels United will be need to be more ruthless in front of goal if they are to topple their opponents this evening.
Tickets for the game are available on the gate at Crabble for travelling U’s supporters. The game is also being broadcast live on BT Sport.
