MATCH PREVIEW | CRAWLEY TOWN – AWAY
Cambridge United are back in Sky Bet League Two action this Saturday as the U’s face Crawley Town at the Checkatrade.com Stadium.
United have lost just two from their last seven League fixtures and will be keen to improve that run in order to climb back up the division. Three points would move the U’s within one point of the Red Devils who currently occupy tenth position in Sky Bet League Two.
With Medy Elito and George Maris returning to action in the past seven days for Shaun Derry in the FA Cup and Checkatrade Trophy, the U’s are moving closer to a full strength side.
Crawley Town are sure to prove stern opposition but are without a win in four League Two fixtures, having not won since their 1-0 victory over Blackpool at the beginning of last month.
Dermot Drummy’s men did hold League One outfit Bristol Rovers to a 1-1 draw last weekend in the Emirates FA Cup First Round, before falling to a 4-0 defeat at the hands of Southampton U21s midweek.
Crawley twice took the spoils against the U’s last season, and have a commanding lead over United in the overall head-to-head records with ten wins to two. In fact the U’s will be looking for their first victory over tomorrow’s host since 2007.
Tickets for the game will be available on the gate for supporters travelling to the Checkatrade.com Stadium.
