LOAN NEWS: ISMAIL SIGNS LOAN DEAL FOR U'S AND LEDSON EXTENDS STAY

U's sign Zeli Ismail on loan

Cambridge United have today completed the loan signing of Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Zeli Ismail until the end of the season.

The 22-year old is a Wolves Academy product, and joins Shaun Derry's side for the remainder of the campaign, adding further options in the forward positions for the U's.

Ismail made his professional debut in 2012 against Chelsea in the League Cup and has since made eight more appearances.

A series of loan spells with MK Dons, Burton Albion and Notts County, working under the guidance of Shaun Derry with the latter, which allowed the winger to increase his Football League experience between 2012 and 2015.

More recently, Ismail has featured for fellow Sky Bet League Two outfit Oxford United, where he made five appearances for Michael Appleton's side in 2016.

The Albanian-born man has also represented England on the international stage at Under 16 and 17 level on six occasions.

Meanwhile the U's have also agreed with Everton FC to extend the loan deal of Ryan Ledson for another month.

The 18-year old has been a prominent figure for United since arriving at the Abbey Stadium in November last year, and has featured 15 times in the Amber and Black shirt.
