Dunk signs new two-year deal
Cambridge United midfielder Harrison Dunk has extended his tenure at the Abbey Stadium until the end of the 2017/18 season.The 25-year old has penned a new two year contract with the U's, having become a key component of Shaun Derry's side. Dunk is the longest serving player at the club outside of Cambridge United's home grown players, after signing from Bromley back in June 2011.
Since then he has enjoyed FA Trophy and Conference Play-off final successes at Wembley Stadium, made his Football League debut for the U's, and recorded over 150 appearances in amber and black.
Delighted to have tied down his future to the club, Dunk commented: "I'm obviously really happy to be committing my future here and I've had five really good years. Cambridge United has become a family to me.
"Every year that I've been at the club, it has progressed and I'm hoping that I can look forward to at least another two successful years.
"The club is moving forward and I want to be a part of that."
Also thrilled to have prolonged Dunk's time with Cambridge United, Manager Shaun Derry added: "I'm delighted that Harrison has committed himself to Cambridge United for another two years.
"Since arriving at this football club his performances and attitude have been very good. We all feel there is room for improvement too which is encouraging going forward.
"The belief we all have in him should drive him on to really make the best of his undoubted ability."
