PRE-SEASON: ASTON VILLA
Cambridge United are pleased to announce a pre-season friendly with Aston Villa at the Cambs Glass Stadium on Tuesday 26th July (K.O. 7:30pm).
Shaun Derry’s side will welcome the Villains as the U’s continue their preparations for the upcoming 2016/17 Sky Bet League season.
As a founder member of the Football League and winners of the League title in 1981 before going on to lift the European Cup against Bayern Munich in 1982, the U’s will go toe-to-toe with one of most iconic football clubs in the country.
The match will provide an ideal test in the lead-up to the new season with Villa’s full first team squad set to visit the city.
One final pre-season fixture is set to be announced soon, with the Amber Army advised to keep Friday 29th July free in the diary.
