CAMBRIDGE UNITED PARTNER WITH FIT AGAIN SPORTS THERAPY

Cambridge United Football Club announce partnership with sports injury clinic Fit Again Sports Therapy (F.A.S.T).

Having already supported the U's by providing sports massage for the first team squad during the 2015/16 season, F.A.S.T. will continue to work in partnership with the club over the coming season. The Cambridge-based injury specialists focus on diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and sports massage.

Alongside their facility at The Leys Sports Complex, Fit Again Sports Therapy also have a clinic situated within the club's South Stand, and are able to make full use of the stadium's amenities when treating clients.

In addition to their involvement with the first team, F.A.S.T. have also worked with the U's Youth Team and Academy, as well as providing support during Jez George's Mission 676 Walk in 2014.

Richard Luddington of Fit Again Sports Therapy said: "It is great to be working closely with Cambridge United Football Club and to further develop our partnership in this way. We are proud to have been chosen to provide the sports massage for the first team which expands our associations with high level athletes.

"I have personally been involved with the club since 2009, having now worked with every level of the club starting with the youth team; it has always been a pleasure to be within such a professional setup.

"The clinic shares the same values as the football club with the aim to make the Cambridgeshire community as active as possible. Our mission is to ensure injuries do not prevent this. We are looking forward to building this partnership to work more with Cambridge United Football Club and the Cambridgeshire community as a whole."

Cambridge United Head of Performance Matt Walker commented: "The contribution of Fit Again Sports Therapy has become a valuable part of our recovery and is regularly used by the players as part of their weekly schedule.

"Richard, Megan, Tim and Claire have provided high quality deep tissue massage to the players, which has enabled them to maximise their time on the training field and prepare them for match days.

"The fact they are working with high performing international athletes as part of their client base makes it a perfect fit, as they are aware of the needs of the players in order to assist in recovering them after each game. They provide a truly brilliant service."
