Programme Preview:
PLAYERS GOAL OF THE YEAR
As the New Year approaches Cambridge United’s Match Day Programme caught up with the U’s to find out which goals stood out in 2016.
We asked a number of the U’s first team players which team mate they thought scored the Cambridge United Goal of the Year and why. Check out what they voted for.
LEON LEGGE
I’ve got to go for Piero against Sheffield Wednesday. It was great goal for him in his first couple of games for the club. In fact it was the perfect way to announce himself to the fans with a great strike on his weaker left foot.
GREG TAYLOR
I’m going to go for Piero’s left foot banger against Sheffield Wednesday because it was a great strike and gave us great momentum going into extra time.
CONOR NEWTON
Greggy T against Crawley Town away. He is a feast for the eyes even when he’s not half volleying them in!
