SNEAK PREVIEW: HARRISON DUNK

Match Day Programme Feature with the U’s midfielder

Take a quick peak at the main feature article with Harrison Dunk in today’s match day programme, ahead of the U’s clash against Northampton Town at the Abbey Stadium.

The U’s midfielder has signed 30 copies of this afternoon’s programme, which have been distributed randomly around the Abbey Stadium, so make sure you pick up a copy to be in with a chance of winning one.

Meanwhile Dunk discusses his start to the season with the U’s and his willingness to learn from the different roles he’s played so far this season in the main feature article.

Read a sneak preview below:

Dunk, who is now into his fourth season with the U’s, has played in several roles for Manager Richard Money this campaign, which have included his original role at left back, left midfield and an even more central midfield position.

The former Bromley man admitted he relishes the challenge and does what he can to learn from each experience to enable him to build upon his footballing abilities.

“At the end of the day by playing in a number of different positions, you just add further aspects to your game. When I first came to the club I was just a left back, since then I’ve been moved up into left midfield and I think from playing that position, I’ve become a more well-round footballer than I was when I arrived.

“That’s allowed me to try out other options in the middle of the pitch like I did a few weeks ago, and without  that experience I would have been slightly lost.

“It’s given my all round game different dimensions and I hope overall I’ll be a better player for it.”

Meanwhile, also featured in this week’s edition is an exclusive interview with the returning Ian Miller who reveals his excitement at starting his new role at the club as Community Football Manager, a heart-warming article by 100 Years of Coconuts about a very special guest at this afternoon’s game and Keith Keane takes on the Player Q & A.

The usual updates from the Academy, Youth Development and Commercial departments are also included, as well as columns from Manager Richard Money, Chairman Dave Dogget and Chief Executive Jez George are also included. Of course Junior U’s, quizzes, stats, information about upcoming games all return too!

Supporters can pick up a copy for just £3 from sellers around the Abbey Stadium or at the club’s two retail points on Newmarket Road and the rear of the Main Stand.

Meanwhile, tickets for the game can still be purchased online until 1.30pm whilst supporters will be able to secure a place from the ticket office right up to kick off.
