United confirm retain/release list ahead of 2015/16 season
CAMBRIDGE United have today announced their retain/release list.
The following players, who's contracts expire at the end of this season, have not been offered new deals: Matteo Lanzoni, Mitch Austin, Richard Tait, Michael Nelson, Ian Miller, Luke Chadwick, Ryan Bird, Nathan Arnold and Tom Elliott.
In addition, following discussions this week, the club and Tom Champion have mutually agreed to go their separate ways. Everyone at Cambridge United would like to thank Tom and the other players now leaving the club, for their contribution this season and, in some cases, to our success over the last two years.
The club has also made the following contracted players available for transfer: Greg Taylor, Josh Coulson, Johnny Hunt, Robbie Simpson and Jordan Slew.
Three loan players, Dominic Ball, Sullay Kaikai and Nathaniel Mendez-Laing, have returned to their parent clubs.
Meanwhile, Danny Burns has been offered a third year scholarship, Matt Lowe, Ryan Horne and James Akintunde have been offered an extension to their development contracts and Bobby-Joe Taylor has been offered a one year professional contract with a one year option.
Liam Hurst and Ayrton Bevins have left the club following the expiry of their development contracts and Cambridge United wish both of them will in the future.
