Adam Cunnington leave the U's by mutual consent
CAMBRIDGE United can confirm that Adam Cunnington has left the club by mutual consent.
Cunnington, 27, joined the U's in the Summer of 2013 from Tamworth.
Adam played a large part in the U's 2013/14 promotion season, scoring 12 times in 33 appearances, including a brace on his debut against FC Halifax Town.
The striker joined Bristol Rovers on loan in August before returning to United in November, equalising against Northampton Town on his return.
Adam's last goal for United came in the 3-2 defeat at Stevenage on 28th December.
U's Chief Executive, Jez George, said: "Adam is held in the highest regard by all the staff and players. He played a major role in our success last season and leaves with our best wishes. In the transient world of football, it is not often that a departing player makes such a lasting impression in such a short space of time but this was the case with Adam. He is highly respected as an honest, genuine and selfless contributor to the club as well as through his hard work, bravery and endeavour on the pitch. He will always be welcome at the R Costings Abbey Stadium."
Everyone at the club wishes Adam every success in his future career.
