Cambridge United provided with VW Golf from the Vindis Group
AS part of their ongoing sponsorship of Cambridge United, the Vindis Group handed over a new Volkswagen Golf to the club last week and this new vehicle will remain with Liz Slack, the club’s Business Development Manager to assist her in her role at the club.
The car was delivered to the R Costings Abbey Stadium on Newmarket Road, Cambridge and will be used throughout Cambridgeshire in order for the development managers to increase sponsorship opportunities. Having made great use of the previous vehicle, also supplied by the Vindis Group, they hope that this new model will be of great use to both Liz and other members of the football staff as the year progresses.
The Vindis Group has been sponsoring the club since 2012, as official Motoring and Motability sponsors, and they are looking forward to progressing the partnership into 2015, fulfilling the Vindis Group’s commitment to supporting the local community and its businesses.
Andy Sinclair, Brand Manager at Cambridge Volkswagen officially handed the keys to Liz Slack, commenting that “We are all very excited to continue this sponsorship into 2015, as we continue to engage in Cambridge United community activity. Cambridge United is close to our dealership and we’re proud to be involved with the team as they continue their success in League two, following an extremely successful season last year. We know that the team at Cambridge United can make great use of this vehicle, and we sincerely hope it helps them with their business throughout 2015.”
Cambridge Volkswagen is one of five Volkswagen dealerships within the Vindis Group, who own fifteen dealerships across five counties. Covering Volkswagen, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, ŠKODA, Bentley and Audi, they pride themselves on a high level of customer service from the family owned business.
The Vindis Group will continue to support the team in any way they can, both from a business and personal level, and hope that the new vehicle will facilitate the managers’ movement around the local county. With a number of local visits planned with the new vehicle the Vindis Group are glad to see it put to good use.
