CHIP IN THE SKIP CASH PRIZE BONANZA

Chip in the Skip Cash Prize Bonanza

Christmas is upon us and Cambridge fans have an extra reason to be Merry this Christmas. Attending the fixture against Barnet on the 28th December at the Abbey Stadium will provide the opportunity for four lucky supporters to have a go at winning a cash prize of £500 in addition to the existing prizes up for grabs, for successfully completing the half time ‘Chip in the Skip’ challenge.

The club will randomly select two lucky home supporters from the match day crowd to take part in the half time challenge. Fans can also register online for your chance to take part in the Skip Challenge and club sponsors Mick George Ltd will select another two contestants from this list to take part at each home fixture.

So Mick George Ltd are increasing the stakes and laying down the gauntlet to you. Successfully chip the ball into the Mick George skip on the 28th December and receive a cash prize of £500 plus a £250 Premier Travel Holiday Voucher. And don’t forget that there are numerous other prizes for landing in the Wheelie Bins.

And that’s not all, with a twist on the current format, Mick George Ltd are now proposing to increase the cash prize fund by £50 a match for every game that passes without somebody successfully completing the challenge, accumulating continuously until somebody is successful.

Jon Stump, Finance Director at Mick George Ltd commented: ‘’Ever since we introduced the half time entertainment at Cambridge United FC it has been extremely well received, whether that be in the format of ‘Mick the Skip’ mascot, Cheerleaders or in this case the ‘Chip in the Skip’ challenge. If we can enhance the occasion then we’re always keen to do so.’’

Stump continued: ‘’The increased prize fund will hopefully add a little extra excitement to the fixture against Barnet FC on the 28th December, and with no winners so far this year we wouldn’t rule out the possibility of a rollover in excess of £1,000 up for grabs come the last game of the season.’’
