Development squad defeated by Orient
THE Cambridge United development squad lost 2-0 at home to Leyton Orient this afternoon. The early stages of the game saw United come close through Matt Lowe who fired over on three minutes and Tom Bender who was inches away from getting on the end of Bobby-Joe Taylor's corner on 12.
However, it was the visitors who took the lead on 13 minutes. Harry Lee jinked his way through the U's midfield and fired low past Norris from 18 yards out.
Taylor and Bender came close again for United, both forcing good stops from Sam Sargent in the O's goal. Thiage De Freitas almost extended the Orient lead on the stroke of half time, his shot ending up just wide after decent work from Scott Kashket.
