Cambridge United 1-2 Cheltenham Town
CAMBRIDGE United suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Cheltenham this evening.
The U's started the first-half brightly, but it was the visitors who took the lead in the 10th minute through Matt Richards. The ball dropped to the midfielder 20 yards from goal and he volleyed past Chris Dunn.
Tom Elliott then came close for United, heading over Trevor Carson's goal from Ryan Donaldson's free-kick. Parity was restored on 25 minutes, Appiah shrugged of his marker and coolly slotted past Carson.
Elliott again came close from a Donaldson free-kick on 40 minutes, before Barham-Barrett had a half-chance for the visitors.

The U's almost took the lead on 53 minutes, Tom Elliott heading narrowly over Carson's bar, again from a Donaldson free-kick.
It was Cheltenham however who took the lead just a minute later. Terry Gornell poking home from close range after a decent break down the left.
Tom Elliott was denied again on 65 minutes, his strike blocked brilliantly on the Robins goal line. Kwesi Appiah was unlucky not to bag his second of the evening when his fierce strike from 25 yards out rattled the Cheltenham crossbar. The U's worked hard to find an equaliser, but it wasn't to be.
