Josh Gillies returns to the U's on loan
JOSH Gillies has returned to Cambridge United on loan for the remainder of the season.Gillies, 23, spent a month on loan with the U's in December, making four appearances and scoring the third goal in United's 3-0 home win over Macclesfield Town.
Director of Football, Jez George, said: “We are delighted that Josh has rejoined us until the end of the season. Carlisle United have been absolutely first class in how they have handled the whole situation and all parties have worked together and been patient in allowing Josh to return to full fitness before completing the deal. Josh will need no further introduction to our supporters having already excelled in his initial loan spell. He will add to the attacking options at Richard’s disposal and will be an excellent addition to the squad.”
U's Scholars Ryan Horne and James Akintunde have joined AFC Sudbury on one month loans.
Youth Team Coach, Mark Bonner, said: "It's the right time to send the boys out and help further their development by playing at a level above. We know David (Batch, Manager AFC Sudbury) really well and we know that he will look after the players in the right way to give them a positive experience."
