Scholars Visit Bramley Court

CAMBRIDGE United's scholars recently made a visit to Bramley Court Care Home in Cambridge.

The scholars spent the afternoon meeting and chatting with some of the residents.

Helen Waspe of Bramley Court Care Home said:

"Damson lounge saw the generation gap melt away as this wonderful group of lads engaged with all of our residents. The ladies enjoyed having some "strapping young men" to wrap around their fingers. Betty challenged six of them to play scrabble; scores weren't kept! Our Gents enjoyed some much needed "male bonding" maybe unsurprisingly discussion turned to tactics, though with valentines day just around the corner, I can't be specific whether the tactics referred to on the pitch or off. Romance wasn't far from the ladies minds either. Tilly turned cupid, trying to matchmake between single members of staff and the players."

"Thank you to Mark Bonner & Stuart Wood for their enthusiasm for bringing the team to see us. They are a real credit to Cambridge United  name and image. This is the seldom seen face of football."
