United win in final away game of pre-season
CAMBRIDGE United overcame Sutton United 3-0 this afternoon at Ganders Green Lane.
The U's started the game brightly with Adam Cunnington and Kwesi Appiah causing the Sutton defenders problems early on. The best chance of the opening exchanges fell to Josh Coulson, he headed wide from Ryan Donaldson's lofted free-kick after Kwesi Appiah had been fouled.
United took the lead in the 18th minute, Appiah shrugged off his man, teed himself up and sent a rasping overhead kick into the bottom right hand corner of the goal.
Ten minutes later and it was two-nil. After a neat build up down the U's left, Greg Taylor drilled home from 25 yards.

Delano Sam-Yorke, Richard Tait and John Hunt all came close for the U's, while Chris Dunn was kept on his toes with a couple of efforts from the hosts.
