SEPURA SPONSORS CAMBRIDGE UNITED COMMUNITY TRUST

Sepura, the Cambridge-based telecommunications plc, has signed an agreement to become the official headline sponsor of the Cambridge United Community Trust for 2014/15.

The deal includes overall sponsorship of the #MISSION676 fund raising walk, which starts in Newcastle on Sunday. Cambridge United Director of Football, Jez George, will walk 676 miles, visiting every premier league stadium in England, culminating in in Norwich on 23rd May.  Jonathan Hamill, VP for Government & Public Safety at Sepura, who is based in the North East, will launch the walk with Jez and Newcastle & England football legend Peter Beardsley.

Graham Daniels, Chairman of the Trust, said “We are very pleased to have the support of a major Cambridge based company such as Sepura, it is vital to the success of our vision that the local business community embrace our aims, and contribute to our cause.”

The Trust, set up in 2011, aims to positively influence 10,000 people per year through a series of programmes for young offenders, children at risk of exclusion, ethnic minority groups, disability groups, the homeless and people living in areas of deprivation.

Sepura’s Chief Financial Officer, Steve Chamberlain, said “As a major Cambridge employer with a deep rooted history in the area, we are delighted to be able to support the Trust and support young people and projects in our local community. We look forward to supporting and participating in the Trust’s many events and activities over the next year. ”
