An opportunity to raise money for your team
Over the past year Cambridge United have been working closely with local football teams to encourage children and adults to get involved with the Club.
Mini League and Colts League teams are able to sell as many tickets as they like for a Cambridge United home game and the funds received are then split between their team and Cambridge United Youth & Community Trust.
The number of local teams who are benefiting from the scheme is growing, and so far this season the following teams have taken part:
- Linton Aztects
- Waterbeach
- Comberton Crusaders
- Cherry Hinton Lions
- Chesterton Eagles
- Mildenhall
- Sawtry Colts
- Sawston United
- Milton Colts
- Buckden Youth
On average, clubs have been able to raise over £100 per game which they can then use to purchase kit and equipment for their teams.
Over the past year more than £3,000 has been raised from the ticket initiative.
Cambridge United are hosting a 'Local Clubs Day' on Saturday 23rd November when the U's take on Woking at the R Costings Abbey Stadium.
We encourage as many clubs as possible to take part in the scheme, however clubs are also welcome to simply come along and enjoy the game.
If your club is interested in taking part in the scheme, or for more information please contact Jake Hammond on 07872122730 or jakehammond@cambridge-united.co.uk
